My association with Riverdale School began in 1980 when I enrolled my son in second grade. His sister entered kindergarten a few years later, and I started volunteering with the PTSA. In 1995, I became an eighth grade English and reading teacher, eventually adding math and science to my repertoire.
My goal is to prepare Riverdale's students to excel in high school and beyond, building on their individual talents to create lifelong learners and successful citizens. Together we search for that elusive author or book genre that keeps reading exciting and meaningful instead of "just an assignment." Current events are discussed and sometimes debated in "Fish Bowls."
Our new Germantown Municipal School District presents exciting possibilities and challenges for teachers and students alike with more local control over education. Join your PTSA, attend your school board meetings, and add your ideas to create an exemplary school system for our kids.
